How does a Vietnamese Phin work?
The phin consists of a round perforated plate, that fits over a coffee mug or cup; a brewing chamber, that sits on top of the plate; a perforated insert that fits inside the chamber, to tamp the grounds down; and a cap to keep the heat in.
How do you brew with Phin?
Brew – Fill phin 3/4 full with hot water (about 4 oz of hot water). Place the lid on top of the Phin. * Your coffee will begin to drip slowly into your cup. Allow 4-5 minutes for the coffee to brew.
